Drips
is a mixed media ceiling installation, which integrates hard and soft materials – metal, and enamel with nylons, plaster and glycerin. The overall image consists of dripping sack-like forms that make reference to fluids or certain body structures. The underside of a ‘drip’ reveals an enameled image cast into the form. As the viewer walks underneath and through the forms one gets a different reading of the work. The enameled images directly reference the interior and the exterior of the body, revealing a personal narrative when viewed in clusters.

Iconography Series
, consisting of about 200 miniature enamels, has spanned three years time working in my studio. I consider this work to be a loose, ongoing, ‘enamel sketchbook.’ I use a variety of techniques, colors, and images – depending on my state of mind. These sketches in enamel help me to flesh out my ideas for other pieces.

person viewing Viewer / Voyeur Series

Viewer / Voyeur examines the nature of seeing and experiencing an image. A series of enameled metal forms are mounted to the wall lower than the traditional eye-level. The forms are made to draw attention towards the center, the interior of the piece. Each form has a slightly different centralized opening which is connected to long tubes that extend into the wall. When a viewer peers through the vessel there is an image to be seen – the viewer becomes voyeur. This piece requires the participation of the viewer in order to make the artwork complete.
